Carolyn Ann Shields was born March 31, 1959 in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of Loretta Miles and Verdis Miles.

Carolyn attended L. G. Pinkston High School.

She worked diligently in hospitality services for many years.

In 1980, Carolyn married Lawrence Shields, Sr.  Carolyn was always the life of the party where ever she went. She was a very sociable and outgoing person. She loved playing dominoes and cards.

Carolyn Ann Shields entered into eternal rest January 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Verdis Miles; brother, Ernest Johnson; and sister, Frankie Willis.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Lawrence Shields, Sr.; mother, Loretta Miles; children – Lawrence Shields, Jr.;, Crystal Clewis; grandchildren – Jeremiah Clewis, Jr., Na’Miah Clewis, Christian   Clewis; nieces – Tangela Willis, Brigetta “ReRe” Willis-Jenkins; great niece – Chartreell Willis; great nephews – Charvas Willis, Verdis James Willis; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
