Jailon Dashad Booker, a beloved son, brother, and cherished friend, was born on February 22, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on May 30, 2025, in Alaska, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jailon was a proud member of the G.T.O.D Baptist Church and had a vibrant personality that radiated warmth and joy. His passion for life was evident in everything he did. He furthered his education across various schools, beginning in Dallas ISD and Galena Park ISD, and culminating at West Anchorage High School in Alaska, where he showcased his musical talent by playing the trombone.
In his professional life, Jailon worked as an associate at Lowe's hardware, where his diligence and helpful nature endeared him to both colleagues and customers alike. His creativity shone brightly outside of work as well; he loved drawing, anime, and video games, hobbies that brought him immense joy and allowed him to express himself artistically. Jailon also cherished moments spent with his family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
He is survived by his loving parents, Paul H. Booker and Sherlene Allen; his sisters, Jeriah Benson and Aundrea Booker; and his brothers, Paul A. Booker, Jamari Allen, and Christian. In addition, he leaves behind a host of family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Jailon is preceded in death by his great-uncle, Jimmy Smith; his uncle, Irish Booker; his cousin, Marcalon Roden; and his grandmother, Nora Jean Lewis. The impact he made in the lives of those around him will forever resonate, and he will be deeply missed.
Services to honor and celebrate Jailon's life will be held at Eternal Rest Funeral Home Desoto located at 1400 N Hampton Rd, Desoto, TX 75115. A viewing will take place on June 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on June 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the small chapel at the same address.
