Julia Ann Brown

Julia Ann Brown, 76, of Glenn Heights, Texas, passed away on August 6, 2026. Born August 3, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Julia will be remembered for her love of family and friends and for the kindness she so freely shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Emmitt Cook; her son, William Darrell Cook; and her parents, William Tobin Lambert and Elva Lillie Lambert.

She is survived by her son, John Cook, and his wife, Stephanie Cook; her grandchildren, Taylor Clements and her husband, Josh Clements, Dillon Cook and his wife, Samantha Cook, John Matthew Cook, Lilly Cook, and Eli Cook; her great-grandchildren, Kenzie Cook, Ema Clements, Ryder Cook, Nova Cook, and Mea Clements; and many other friends who loved and cherished her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75241.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Cook, Brent Wilson, Shane Berry, Lee Strange, Rocky Shelton, and T.J. Cabeen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Ansley, Gary Durham, and Marcus Wright.

Julia’s love, kindness, and selflessness will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on through her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched.
