I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
1 Timothy 4:7
Lee Edward Thomas, a beloved figure of strength and warmth, will be deeply
missed. He was born on June 5,1950 in Greenville, Texas and he departed this
world on June 26, 2025, in Dallas Texas. Lee dedicated his professional life to TI,
Digital Equipment and EFW Corporations, where he excelled as a Quality
Engineer. His career was marked by his unwavering attention to detail reflecting
the strong-willed personality that defined him. He had a profound passion for
learning which was evident from his educational journey at Greenville High
School and Southwest Texas State University.
Beyond his work, Lee’s interest revealed a man who embraced life fully. He loved
playing golf, working out, riding motorcycles and was a devoted die-hard Dallas
Cowboy fan. Lee’s spirit was shown through his fashion choices. He loved to
dress stylishly and had a particular fondness for hats.
Family and community were the cornerstone of Lee’s life. He took immense pride
in being a mentor to elementary school boys at his church, Oak Cliff Bible
Fellowship. His love for his church community and the fellowship he cherished
were integral to who he was. Lee’s greatest accomplishment was his dedication
to his family, including the care he provided for his mother, Louise Dennis Harris;
his father, Lee Emerson Thomas; and sister, Von Gretchen Thomas, whom all
proceeded him in death.
The indelible mark Lee left on the lives he touched will resonate within the hearts
of those fortunate enough to have known him and cherish his memories. Lee
was a source of strength and guidance for his wife, Deborah Thomas; his
daughter, Veronica Renee Starr; and grandson, Cayden Bradley. His memory will
be held dear by his cousins Reverend Jerry J. Dennis (Rosalie), John W. Ward
(Patricia), and Aleecia Dennis. The world is a little dimmer without his presence,
but Lee’s legacy will continue to shine through the love he shared and the lives
he enriched.
